Anhui Haihua Chemical Technology Group Co.,Ltd. and Shanghai Institute of Technology Sign New Round of Strategic Industry-University-Research Cooperation Framework Agreement

On August 22, Mr. Guo Qingsong, Secretary of the Party Committee of Shanghai Institute of Technology (SIT), led a delegation to Anhui Haihua Chemical Technology Group Co.,Ltd.(Haihua Group) for exchanges on industry-university-research cooperation.

Accompanied by relevant person in charge of Haihua Group, Mr. Guo Qingsong and his delegation visited Haihua's exhibition hall, R&D center, and production facilities. They gained detailed insights into Haihua's talent development, key research directions and overall industrial layout.

At the symposium, Mr. Guo Qingsong noted that the industry-university-research collaborative innovation between SIT and Haihua Group has yielded fruitful results, with a solid cooperative foundation and broad prospects for integrated industrial development. He then introduced the core strengths of SIT in conducting industry-university research cooperation from the perspectives of the university’s positioning, distinctive disciplines, scientific research and innovation platforms, and applied talent cultivation system. The two sides held in-depth discussions on key issues including joint research on key technologies, joint talent training, commercialization of research achievements, and the co-establishment of innovation platforms.

After the forum, SIT and Haihua Group signed a new round of strategic industry-university-research cooperation framework agreement. Going forward, the two sides will fully integrate the university's talent and technological resources with the company's market and production capabilities to establish a normalized industry-university-research coordination mechanism. Focus will be placed on joint technological research on new products and processes of menthol and its downstream. The goal is to accelerate the industrial application and commercialization of new technologies, products and processes, thereby contributing to the high-quality development of China's fragrance and flavor industry.
